Recap: 12/1/2006 Canucks vs Vipers
Some may call the Canucks cocky, but the reality is – we’re just really good. Another game, another victory. The Canucks hit the road to Skyway arena and spent the night beating up a brood of Vipers, en route to a glorious 7-1 win. The team jumped onto the ice with anticipation of a quick easy game against a team that keeps on forgetting to pack in a little skill in their hockey bags.
The first period was all the team really needed as three quick goals by Mike, James, and Dan sealed the deal. The puck rarely came over the center line into the Canucks zone, as the Canucks played a physical game punishing the Viper players if even the notion of a chance came into their heads. In the second period the team ended up with some fantastic passing plays but only Mike managed to get one by the Viper goalkeeper. The Vipers got a goal too, but we won’t talk about that little lapse. By the time the 3rd period rolled around, the Vipers team seemed to be wishing they were at home tucked into their beds, as the Canucks had continual control of the play throughout the period. Three more incredible goals were scored by James, Joel, and Wade to bring the night’s total to 7. Not a bad performance boys…
A big thanks to Gord Vandergriendt for coming out and standing between the pipes while Chris was out partying in Mexico. Maybe next time we’ll give you a magazine or something to read while we’re in the in the opposition’s zone for 10 minutes straight.
This week’s video is fantastic. The film work done by Lor is almost approaching the level of skill seen only in such greats as Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, or Francis Ford Coppola. Check it out:

The canucks are the best and i love every game because of that. I also love the fact that Joel and Arie are on the team...they are both very dreamy and heppening in a far out way. Thanks for being there fellas

Out of town scoreboard: Sharks 6 vs Oilers 4. We almost beat those little buggers... but with about 100 penalty minutes in one game it's hard to beat any team. Nice video and hot new outfits!

sweet victory boys and can't wait to play the sharks in Jan that'll be sweeeeeeettt

I was looking at the Oiler's site tonight...it's ridiculous how many of them were whining about the penalty for tripping James the other week. I've posted the clip in slo-mo so maybe even the Oilers can see that it was pretty dirty...
:)

Hey Chris - if you're reading this in some internet cafe in Mexico, we need to know if your knee is good to go for this weekend's game or not. I'll have to get a backup again if not, and I'd prefer not to have to call around on Friday afternoon... Ps - drink a bucket of Coronas for me!

Not sure if Chris is coming back. Maybe he found a nice senorita down there.

He’s probably milking that bad knee and getting all kinds of sympathy s3x

Game time decisions only work if a backup goalie is there. Looks like you're playing no matter what. Our defenseman better step it up and not let anyone through.

oh la senoers. its nice to be back. we had a blast in mexico. good luck against the titans tonite. i think i will spend the nite recooping from the hangovers every nite. go canucks.

well after the morning skate and a chat with the trainers i've declared myself healthy enough to play. The knee is about 80% so the defense better not give up any 3 on 1's. See you tonight.
By the way i look good with tan lines
By Anonymous, at 12/08/2006 12:20 PM
mike... why do you have hangovers at night?... I think you did things a little backwards.
By Anonymous, at 12/08/2006 2:23 PM
No Mike tonight so we need a timekeeper. Any volunteers?
By Jack, at 12/08/2006 3:12 PM
Jack do you have my jersy?
By Anonymous, at 12/08/2006 4:24 PM
Yeah, I'll bring it.
By the way - if anyone feels like bringing some money tonight, that would be great.
