Recap: 1/19/2006 Sharks vs Canucks
After two Canucks/Sharks games in two consecutive weeks, and one win a piece, the two teams met once again for the rubber-match Friday night at the Wave Twin Center. The Sharks had to play their best to beat the mighty Canucks, and they stepped up to the plate and managed to win 2-1. The Canucks will have to be content with the single victory last week, and will now turn their attention to getting in shape for the playoffs as the two teams are destined to meet again in a couple months in the B-Central Division final.
The game was a close one - both teams played a hard-fought battle. The Sharks got about a billion shots on Chris, but he managed to shut the door until the game’s half-way point. The Shark’s aggressive play eventually wore down the Canucks, who were playing with a shortened bench. The Sharks notched two goals in the second period, but the Canucks did not quit. In the third period, they made some adjustments, pulled up their socks, and managed to out play the Sharks for the rest of the game. But alas, only one goal was scored as Dan finally busted out of his scoring slump to put one past the Sharks goaltender. The Canucks got a bunch of chances to tie it up, but could not seem to find the twine. Just wait till playoffs… we’ll get ’em next time.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of highlight material from the Canucks, this week's video is a bit of a Shark's highlight reel. Ah well... that's what we get for losing. Next week against the Vipers we should be able to get a few H.O.N. candidates to make up for it.

You guys were too cocky, but Chris played awsome. Just keep the points coming with the other games, and you for sure will creme them in the playoffs. When it counts.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The sharks haven't seen anything yet. I was sick the entire weekend and should of stopped the second goal. We'll show them in them playoffs. Here to another shut out on Friday.

Chris you had no chance on either one. The video shows you didn't even move on the kids roof daddie second goal. You did however make a kid taste your blocker. Nice!

Whatever.

the sharks only won by one goal and chris is right; he shouldn’t have let that second one in :-) we were missing two players, chris was sick and they still barely won. we'll get em come playoffs

guys..they outplayed us pretty good. we have to hustle a little more and take it to them if we want to keep even on the score if Chris doesn't have an amazing game.
Chances in favour of the Sharks 9:2

I agree... we sucked the big one Friday... the whole team... including the goalie - (chris). Lets try a little harder next time, maybe we can get more than just one line to do the scoring.

We will most likely have a playoff game on March 2 or 3, but if a bunch of guys from our team really want to play in this, I'll re-schedule it. If we do, I'm in as well. I vote for Tier 1. No use just being competitive when we can be super-competitive.
