Recap: 1/5/2007 Sharks vs Canucks
The Canucks faced an unbeaten Sharks team last weekend for the first game in a much-anticipated 3-game mid-season series, and even though we are probably the best team to ever play in the CRHL, we ended up losing the game 4-1. The Sharks came to the game with a little more in the tank than the Canucks, as we failed to do much of anything due to an overall lack of offence, defense, skating, effort… you name it - it was missing.
The Canucks once again failed to get going early, but we still stayed close with them for the first 2 periods. When the third period arrived, the Sharks scored a few goals amidst scrambles in front of our own net. Wade did manage to score one to break their shutout bid – which is important to Chris as he wants to keep his goalie stats on top.
The refs did well this week as only one Canuck got kicked out this time. They also managed to call more penalties on the Sharks than on us –which is a true testament to a job well done by our coaches and players. Keep it up and we’ll have a chance to win these next two games.
Sorry, but no video this week, which is probably a good thing as there wasn’t many Canuck highlights in the game. Let’s save it all for this weekend’s game and make a highlight reel such as no one has ever seen.
PS- Sorry this is so late guys. I've been out sick/busy/lazy for the past week. I'll try get it up earlier next week.

whoever wrote that last comment your right. but you didn't have to be so mean about it. let me be more specific and tell you what you should have said.
The defensive playing of the canucks is terrible. the Canuck players can't tie up their man, they are disorganized in there own end and maybe most importantly they only won 30% of the battles in along the boards. they also treat the puck like a hot potatoe and can't make or accept a pass unless it is a perfect pass. From my point of view the defense try hard but they are always out numbered because there are lazy centres on the canucks who can't make it back on time
Offensivly the canucks are talented (when they put in the full 100%). The only thing they are lacking is the drive to the net. Every goalie can stop what he sees and theres nothing wrong with getting a "garbage goal". Thats how the sharks won last game. Once again winning the small battles for the puck is a must. Last game i think came out with the puck 10 times all game.
Anyways i hope that we can all look at ourselves and make sure we give 100% next game, because if we do that i gaurentee we will win.
To all you sharks reading this thanks for the good competition. See you on the ice.

I guess after a nice relaxing xmas break everyone is back into super serious mode. Relax Chris, we hear sermons every week in church. Now we have to read one on the website too? It doesn't really matter who wins the games between the nucks and sharks, come playoff time the oils will most likely step it up a notch and become the team to beat. You better start stretching now kids.

well guys, dont get to down on ourselves. no matter what the sharks have more skill than us in everyway. its going to take a lot to phase their game. second place in the season isn't bad after all.keep up the effort and lets try to keep the next few losses to the sharks within 2 goals.
