Recap: 2/2/2007 Oilers vs Canucks

Canucks played host to the Oilers on Friday night, and managed to shut them out 2-0 in an entertaining and hard fought battle. Each team had chance after chance, but both goaltenders kept it scoreless until the third, when as usual the Canucks woke up and started playing something resembling hockey. In the third, Chris shut the door to record his league-leading fifth shutout of the season, and since no one else felt like scoring any goals, Joel took the game into his own hands and netted two goals to secure the victory. Keep the wins coming boys!

  • i love comments on this website always funny. i would like to add to it. Canucks are poopy bum bums, and i think that they are winning cause the refs have poop in their hair. I also think that my brain is small and i cant think of anything good to write. any buddy who posts a not so nice message on this site should probably drink their own pee

  • Do we have at least 2 lines for friday night? and at least 1 line that can score at least 1 goal?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/07/2007 5:42 PM

  • We'll be fine.. as long as our goalie decides to show up and play... unlike that game against the Vipers.

  • We're missing 4 regulars (Joel, Arie, James, Rich) and only two subs (Mike and Dan) can make it this weekend, so it looks like we'll have to play with 7 forwards. Also, since Arie is gone, someone is going to have to play D with Mark. I was going to suggest Matt, but that would be the all-time pinchyest combo ever so I suggest we break up John and Dave for a game and give them Matt and Mark as partners. As for forwards, there is little use organizing lines, as we have an odd number of guys and there will be guys in the box all game so they'll be mixed up all the time anyways.

  • Reminder!!!!

If you still owe money for the season, please bring it to the game tomorrow. I just got a massive bill from the Wave, and without your money I'll be in debt for the next month or so. I still need to collect well over $2000 from you guys. So please pay up!

If you forgot how much you owe, call me or send me an email and I'll let you know.

  • BYOB?!?! What’s with that? I thought it was #00's turn?

  • Those D lines look good to me.

If we have 7 forwards I suggest we have two pairs that stay together and the other three rotate on the one wing. How about Jack and Wade pair up, and Mike S. and Dan V. pair up and the subs and Ken rotate through. That way we got some scoring potential with each line.

  • let the coach make the lines for tonight. if we rotate players through, it could end up with us having too many man on the ice and alot of b.s. going on

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2/09/2007 3:52 PM

  • it shouldn't be difficult for 3 guys to figure out that they are rotating one spot

  • you ladies may want to throw your last two games against the Titans to let them get ahead of us. That way you won't play the Oiler dynasty in the first round ending in an embarrasing loss of epic proportions. Just a thought.

    Oiler D-man
